The Certification Process

Submit Application
Complete the online application form with your personal information, academic history, competency evidence, work experience, and professional development record.

Pay Application Fee
Submit the non-refundable application fee. Your application will not be reviewed until both the materials and fee have been received.

Review by Committee
A subgroup of the Data Science Certification Committee (DSCC) conducts a confidential peer review of your submitted portfolio materials.

Decision Communicated
You will receive written notification of the committee's decision, typically within 8 weeks. Unsuccessful applicants receive written feedback and may reapply.
